Vinegaroon


Our Vinegaroon

At Scovill Zoo they have one vinegaroon. It doesn't have a name. They got it from another zoo. It is about one year old. It is a female vinegaroon.

Vinegaroon Size

They usually range to be about 3 inches, they’re almost the same height. It's small so it can hide easily and in small spaces.

Vinegaroon Life Span

For males, they live up to 10 years. For females, they can live about 20 years.

Vinegaroon Housing

They can be found in the desert areas, also grassland, pine forests and mountains. They can withstand 75 to 85 degrees.

Vinegaroon Food

The babies eat crickets. The adults also eat crickets and other large insects.

Vinegaroon Lighting & Temperature Requirements

It enjoys dark spaces and places to hide.

Vinegaroon Substrate

They don't live in the water. They live in rocky and sandy areas.
