The Mexican red-knee tarantula's are 4 inches and have a leg span of 6 inches. The record size is 12.7 to 14 cm in length.

Mexican Red-Knee Tarantula's Life Span 

Females can live up to 20 to 30 years. Males live about 10 years. Females are very long-lived with records in captivity of over 20 years.

Mexican Red-Knee Tarantula's Housing

A small 5 to 10 gallon tank is suitable for them. As a general rule, the width of the tank should be two to three times wider than the leg span of the spider and only as tall as the spider's leg span if it were standing on the end.

The Mexican red-knee tarantula will eat any and all types of bugs.
