Milk Snake

Milk Snakes's Size 

Milk snakes normally get to about 14 to 69 inches (35 to 175 cm) long depending on their diet. An average milk snake grows about 32 inches (81 cm). It takes about 3 to 4 years to reach its full size.

Milk Snakes's Life Span 

A milk snake lives approximately 10 to 12 years.

Milk Snakes's Housing

You need a wooden vivarium of at least 34 inches in length and forest decorations. The substrate should be dry and the humidity levels can't get too high.

Milk Snakes's Lighting & Temperature Requirements

During the day they need a warm basking area. You need a clear spot bulb. At night they need a slight drop in temperature the basking light should be turned off. Basking temperatures of 90 degrees Fahrenheit. The cool end of the temperature should should be 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit.

Milk Snakes's Substrate

They live near the forest edges, but could also be found in open woodlands, prairies and grasslands, near streams and rivers, on rocky hillsides, and in suburban areas and farmlands.

Milk Snakes's Food 

They eat slugs, insects, crickets, and Earth worms. Adult milk snakes usually eat lizards (especially skinks) and small animals. They know to eat their eggs, birds, grogs, fish and other snakes.
